YOUR CHILD'S BAR OR BAT MITZVAH...

...is a true milestone for your family, an occasion for joy and celebration. Don't let the simcha go by without creating wonderful photographs to look back on.

We will capture images that throughout time will bring back to you the overwhelming feelings you shared on this special day. We will create a complete record of events, but more, our images will evoke the sense of family, joy, accomplishment that this day is about. We achieve this by combining the styles of formal portraiture together with spontaneous candids.

THE REHEARSAL   We'll start by photographing at the rehearsal. This is a run-through, under the supervision of the rabbi, that's generally held during the week prior to the date of the service. Of course we are not allowed to photograph at the Shabbat service itself. But by coming to the rehearsal, held on a weekday, we can get images of great meaning - your child on the bima, reading from the scrolls, surrounded by parents and rabbi. This will give you a wonderful record of the heart of this great occasion.

KIDDUSH LUNCHEON   Then if there's a kiddush luncheon, we can be there to photograph it, taking candids of you and your guests.

FORMAL PORTRAITS   At some point during the day, we will set aside a period of time for more formal portraits of the bar mitzvah boy or bat mitzvah girl with family in all of the many combinations you will want. Immediate family, extended family, grandparents alone - all in combination with the star of the day. Depending on how your simcha day flows, we can schedule this session either in the early afternoon after the luncheon, in the late afternoon or early evening before the evening party, or at some other time that works for your family.

EVENING PARTY   And of course if there's a party in the evening, we'll be there to take photographs.

OUR STYLE   Our style is a combination of studio photography and photojournalist-candid photography. For the rehearsal and family portrait session, we'll actually set up a portable studio on location, with studio strobes and reflectors. To photograph the events as they happen - luncheon and party - we use camera-mounted flash to be agile and moveable.

THE DIGITAL ADVANTAGE   We use high-end digital equipment. One big advantage for you is that you will get at no extra charge a CD of images for emailing. Within a week of the event you'll be able to email photos to friends and family. You can post photos to an online album so all your guests can enjoy them. Another big advantage of digital is that it makes retouching accessible for your portraits, and minor retouching is included at no extra charge.

Family portrait session	$275	A full family portrait session. We'll set up our portable studio at the location you have chosen. We'll create portraits of the bar/bat mitzvah, and family portraits in all the different groupings you wish. It's a wonderful way to mark the occasion. Evening party	$225	Let us capture the excitement and fun of your party. Price quoted is for three hours (minimum). Additional time @ $75 per hour.
